Who are the Open Society Foundations?

We are an international network of activists, advocates, and academics who work globally to build vibrant and tolerant democracies with governments that are accountable to their people. We primarily do this by supporting charitable organizations that fight injustice; expose corruption; promote the inclusion of ethnic minorities, women, and LGBTI people in policymaking; and work to ensure governments provide better healthcare and education for all. In Europe, our most prominent grantees include Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and the European Network Against Racism, among others.
