Workshop: ComuniCanvi Intercultural Journalism and Communication
9 November 10:00 - 30 November 12:00
The fifth edition of the course #ComuniCanvi, organised by Associació Intercultural Llatins per Catalunya, the communication group of Xarxa BCN Antirumors and Agència Intercultural ITACAT, will take place from 9th to 30th November. This year the workshop will be focused in the digital control of internet communication and the traces of colonialism at the service of information.
The workshop will take place from 9th to 30th November in different sessions from 10am to 12pm, in person sessions and virtual format.
In this edition, the main theme is the journalistic source and we will analyse how information is “fabricated”. It will question whether or not the sources remain on the borders of colonialism, whether they promote bias, whether they use criteria of race, gender or class, or whether censorship is practised in certain issues.
