Feminist Meme Exhibition #SónElsPrivilegis

Under the slogan “It’s not you, it’s your privileges”, L’Etnográfica has designed 11 posters to highlight the existence of several axes of oppression and privilege that exist within our society. These are translated into discriminations that can go more or less unnoticed.

We look forward to seeing you on 21st April at 6 p.m. to see these acid and necessary creations. The memes that make up the exhibition are collective creations from previous workshops and illustrate different situations in which not only machismo and sexism structural to our society are manifested, but also racism, ageism, hererosexism that are manifested simultaneously, creating specific oppressions towards people or groups.

The slogan of the exhibition is an interpellation to the individuals who, through their actions, reproduce structural logics of discrimination, which is why it is a call for collective responsibility towards social transformation.
